At last…

I am glad to announce the release of my blog by google as a malware free site. For the sake of readers and fellow bloggers I would like to share my gist with fighting malwares that were injected into my blog. You may be out there making efforts to cause a change or promote a course, someone out there too is interested in frustrating your efforts by corrupting your site or medium of outreach; as in my case I was about scrapping the whole site in the bid of getting at a solution, I’d started by deleting all comments on the blog (precious commentators bear with me) only to get more into research and found main origin of the malicious contents.

I OWE IT TO YOU

owe-it-to-you

Though challenging, sometimes it makes me sad as I think of this blog, my intentions Vs cruel intentions, all coming to bear as I try to evaluate myself in this short seven (7) months of posting in my blog. There are moments when thoughts gets so heavy thus seeking expression with the use of keyboard or pen, interferences with the issues of life steal some away and a need to push myself to get the remaining left in a piece. Apart from having to write, as seen in life there are different things that strive to take out of our short 24hours, there by ending the day with backlogs to sort for the next day, however given a full year some things would still be left undone.

I intend this piece to write concerning my hitch in posting on this blog for a while. Among other issues there is one in particular, not extreme though but hampers my efforts. I guess I’m learning new lessons as life teaches and in all I’m happy because I know I can’t fight this battle twice. This is not an excuse for not posting; the issue projects a negative image which I am not representing, intending or sending. I have identified that there are some embedded bad wares on this blog which is coming from my host server and efforts are in place to transfer to another server, even if it would cost me destroying what have been built to make it right then it must be done. I write this with a heavy heart, it makes me bitter because I owe it to you.

Morals from Parable of the Pipeline

thinking-man

Much has been said about the parable of the pipeline; this write-up is to sum up the last two posts. As well communicated and easy to understand, in simple words it deals about building investments now that would bring returns for you regardless your inputs in the future. Bucket carriers refer to those who depend on their job instead of using that as a leap to seek for a greater life. Majority of us eventually starts like ‘Pablo’ in the article – getting a job is a good leap and an opportunity to start with, a large percentage of people working are not happy with their jobs, some stay put, while others that are very unsatisfied see the need to get another job or work towards getting promoted (getting bigger buckets), while few care to build a pipeline, which involves a lot of risk and sacrifice. The few group is what I challenge you to join by bringing this series of articles to you; frankly speaking I have come to that point were I believe there are no dream jobs anywhere, they all seem fantastic beaming with opportunities and enticement, but what happens when the bucket dries up? Oh! Never thought of that… as in the article ‘all buckets eventually dry up’. You will lose your job someday either by preference or compulsorily, what happens then?

Parable of the Pipeline (Part 2)

2005_income_distribution

The concluding part of the Parable of the Pipeline by Burke Hegdes.

Be enlightened as you read on

WE LIVE IN A BUCKET-CARRYING WORLD

Who are you? A bucket-carrier………… or a pipeline builder? Do you get paid only when you show up for work like Bruno the Bucket Carrier? Or do you do the work once and get paid over and over again like Pablo the Pipeline Builder? If you’re like most people, you’re working the bucket-carrying plan. It’s the time-for-money-trap. The problem with bucket carrying is that the money stops when the bucket-carrying stops. Which means the concept of a “secure job” or “dream job” is an illusion. The inherent danger of carrying buckets is that the income is temporary instead of ongoing. If Bruno woke up one morning with a stiff back and couldn’t get out of bed, how much money would he earn that day? ZERO! No Work-No Money! The same goes for any bucket-carrying job. Once bucket-carriers stop carry buckets for any reason, they won’t continue to get a paycheck.

Real-Life True Story:

My previous dentist was the best dentist I ever had. A complete professional, great personality, great technician; every visit was virtually pain-free. She loved what she did and set her own hours. She was only open three days a week so she could spend four-day weekends with her family. She pulled down more than $100,000 a year working three days a week at a job she loved. This was a bucket-carriers dream job if there ever was one! One problem, before the age of 40 she developed arthritis in her hands and couldn’t work anymore. Today she teaches at a university earning one-third the income she earned as a dentist. There’s no such thing as a secure bucket-carrying job no matter how great it seems. The problem with the time-for-money trap is that if you can no longer trade-the-time, you no longer get the money! Most people mistake bucket-carrying for pipeline building. We observe 99% of the people in the world are carrying buckets, so we assume bucket carrying is the way to get what we want in life. We grow up surrounded by bucket-carriers, so we figure that’s the way-of-the-world. It reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw recently:

The Parable of the Pipeline (Part 1)

ppl

I received this message from a friend and really got challenged by the concept, did my little research and decided to share it. The Parable of the Pipeline by Burke Hedges, a very important concept that teaches one to build residual income; I have decided to put it in parts for better understanding and not to have one long piece. Part 1 and 2 brings the story while Part 3 brings the morals and discussions.

Enjoy and learn as you read on.

Once upon a time long, long ago, two ambitious young cousins named Pablo and Bruno lived side by side in a small Italian village. The young men were best buddies, and big dreamers. They would talk endlessly about how someday, someway, they would become the richest men in the village. They were both bright and hard working. All they needed was an opportunity. One day that opportunity arrived. The village decided to hire two men to carry water from a nearby river to a cistern in the town square. The job went to Pablo and Bruno. Each man grabbed two buckets and headed to the river. By the end of the day, they had filled the town cistern to the brim. The village elder paid them one penny for each bucket of water.

“This is our dream come true”! Shouted Bruno, “I can’t believe our good fortune”, but Pablo wasn’t so sure.

His back ached and his hands were blistered from carrying the heavy buckets. He dreaded getting up and going to work the next morning. He vowed to think of a better way to get the water from the river to the village.

It is finished

he-is-alive

This week (the holy week), a season in time when Jesus Christ borne our pains, bringing to mind the memories of the passion of Christ and of course his glorious resurrection – the part that made Christianity meaningful, which has restored our hope and faith in the kingdom. In a time like this, observing the season with sober reflections, an event that bought our salvation we see reasons why suffering the same pain is needless, I mean, how can you pay for what has been paid for. Christ stood in our place thereby liberating us from all sort suffering when He said “It is finished”, at that there are people still wallowing in agony, which is obvious as part of life.
