"…towards living a fulfilled life"

Introducing Holidays and Cash

Following the post on “Got Sacked”; I have been sourcing for possible investment vehicle one can successfully drive on. It is imperative to note that risk abound in every trip; considering the choice of words “investment vehicle” connotes the fact that risk and fears abound but not so much when taking a calculated risk. Asking a couple of friends the question “what can I venture in as an investment?” frankly speaking I’ve not been impressed with their thoughts. I am an employee at the moment looking forward to the day I will bid paid employment bye-bye but the question is do most people think like this or is it that I have been talking to the wrong people? I don’t seem to know, but the least I know is that my aspiration is driving me wild; it’s true and I believe there is a way out.

Got sacked (what next?)

saddy

Listening to the radio station this morning reviewing the subject matter – Job Loss in the country; different views were reviewed and words of encouragement were offered to those affected. I could not but remain in awe for a while, I hear of the situation but not as hearing from a victim. The prevailing situation is prominent in the financial sector in the country; people are been sacked from their places of work without any prior notice and don’t even know the basis for such act. During the holiday season some were laid off, some are been visited with letter terminating their appointment upon resumption from Annual leave. It is a very sad situation as nothing can be done afterward. Everyone is on his/her toe now not knowing whose turn it would hit next. This is about the wrong time to bid your job goodbye even if you have the intention of resigning. What is the problem? I ask myself looking at the situation, laying off developed minds into the streets! Coupled with the battalion outside looking for job placement; weighing it from the employers side; fine they may be in financial turmoil, what about their processes for such operations. Downsizing is an option but not the first in the list. Well it may be unfair or a partial process the truth is that it is happening and more people will still be losing their jobs before long.

2010 in View

2010

Firstly, I’ll like to tender my apologies for the shots I could not bring as discussed in the previous post. I did not expect it like this though but I was constrained; However, I hope you had a great holiday season. Frankly speaking the season doesn’t really go with much work, it’s merrily all the way; but work stuck its head somehow. Speaking of which, I like to pop a question, do you have a view for 2010? - At least a personal one. There are lots of issues going on in the nation, lots to distract you, but the question is still on a personal note; can you visualize yourself in the New Year prospering indeed? This is beyond wishful thoughts, working out a plan, intents, aspirations and having a list of must do.

3love

What a great expectations as the year comes to an end; frankly speaking, I’m so excited. I feel like shouting on top of my voice, what a joy to experience this moment, we rejoice and are grateful to almighty God. Plans are on check to ensure the season is well spent with loved ones and with remarkable memories. It is a time to look at the previous eleven months and count your blessings, a period to reflect and a period to give thanks to God. But on the other hand; were your expectations met? Did most of your plans fall true? There are many questions; all in a bid of evaluate your achievements for the year. Well whatever happened within the year – good or bad, its time to another chapter 2009 and prepare for the new year 2010, ensuring your shortcomings are well catered for and not repeated also don’t forget to bag some useful experiences – for now lay aside issues and count your blessings. In life there is no stopping and all our expectation cannot be met, reason why we want to see what tomorrow has in stock for us, life is a journey till the day we draw our last breath.

What can you see in YOU!

man-in-the-mirror

Recently I had the opportunity of speaking in a Christian Community on a subject regarding God having us as his signet-ring; I’m so overwhelmed with the subject and as such decided to unleash some thoughts here. In relation to the subject matter, the question of self-identity and self-realization comes to play. It engulfs me to think of people having esteem problem, fine there are of different variation just as we come from different background. Nonetheless as one advances in life there are some things that should shred off in our character and behavior and if asked, issues regarding low self-esteem should be part of it.

I think to myself and ask what can I ever do with low self-esteem or inferiority complex, this is a case of killing yourself even before been attacked; what could be more drastic than not thinking too much of yourself. [Read the rest of this entry...]

Cancer of the Wallet

empty-wallet-2

It broadens my understanding for the need of financial freedom when I encountered the phrase ‘cancer of the wallet”. This is way beyond going broke and as a matter of fact nothing diminishes health like it. Financial literacy is a must for anyone that desires to increase in wealth and as well known we were not taught in school neither will our children be. Along the way you need to get the education that matter to your future. Becoming financially free doesn’t come easy as freedom itself isn’t free; there is always a price to pay, it is however attainable. There are diverse path to attaining this height. The one path that informs this piece is ‘Investment’. It is conversely not the only vehicle but one which is dynamic and capable of sustaining itself overtime.

Hello My world

recovery

Just like the first post in a blog, I say hello my world, sounds kind of funny to me because I have been around long enough. This piece I consider a come back and it brings me great delight as my world has received light again and surprisingly a gloomy side too, it’s like feeling something good about a thing and still can’t really shout about it. I am happy for the fact that this blog is up again after many troubles, my joy is derived from new lessons learnt, which has made me better and experienced. The gloomy part is getting to see the last time I updated this blog. Three (3) months has pasted of my inconsistency, it is a big deal for me, its like saying no more, and as well known the life of the blog is tied to the life of the owner, thinking deep makes me wanna beat myself, but I really wish I knew better.

Considering this come back as a better beginning, plans and intentions are changing to accommodate the present mood, which for me is high. The blog theme is coming alive as efforts are in place to include informative widgets and other useful links to in the home page. I know I would have lost a number of my readers, I really wish I knew how to control what befell this blog before now, about now I have gained better experiences and would like to share some highlights I fed upon to ensure this come back, most especially I like you to take it as life lessons.

Experience Matters

experience-succeed

Watching a reality program lately – ‘The Apprentice’, certain impressions came crashing at every scene; I see clearly now like it just rained. A great program I’ll recommend anytime, time consuming like every other serial program but this one is worth every moment. I have learnt a lot in a bit with images and scenes that have afforded me great acuity and new thought pattern. The eyes of my heart and understanding opened to certain facts, one of which makes up for the title of this article. Experience matters not just in literal words but with deep thoughts. Following through the program from season one, I still can’t get enough even at season six. One point came occurring at the final stage s of every season which gave every apprentice that was hired a relevant argument – their experiences , it is a strong point that gives an edge in business and in life.
