The season is here!
What a great expectations as the year comes to an end; frankly speaking, I’m so excited. I feel like shouting on top of my voice, what a joy to experience this moment, we rejoice and are grateful to almighty God. Plans are on check to ensure the season is well spent with loved ones and with remarkable memories. It is a time to look at the previous eleven months and count your blessings, a period to reflect and a period to give thanks to God. But on the other hand; were your expectations met? Did most of your plans fall true? There are many questions; all in a bid of evaluate your achievements for the year. Well whatever happened within the year – good or bad, its time to another chapter 2009 and prepare for the new year 2010, ensuring your shortcomings are well catered for and not repeated also don’t forget to bag some useful experiences – for now lay aside issues and count your blessings. In life there is no stopping and all our expectation cannot be met, reason why we want to see what tomorrow has in stock for us, life is a journey till the day we draw our last breath.
At this moment I enjoin all to think about giving back in this season, somehow, anyhow, just give back – especially to the less privileged in the society; visit an orphanage home and make a family with them, share the season that spells Love with a capital “L”, expressing a three dimensional Love in one act – Love for God, for mankind and for yourself. Make this season count in a whole, remember to give back just because. Aside from visiting my favorite charity, I’m planning on capturing some beautiful decorations in Pix just for you. I hope to win this; to publish snap shot from within Lagos before Christmas day and make available to interested readers that may want to have them for maybe screen savers or print as portraits.
Just a sound of caution; the heat of this season comes with a lot of misfortune, I admonish all to be very cautious, a research report I heard about confirms high rate of people committing suicide at this seasons for mean reasons; in no doubt there are high death rate even within the cities; one cannot be careful enough though, but one with God is a winner; He has promised and will not fail, for sure He will not forsake you. As many of us that maybe travelling, I pray the word of God in Psalm 121 Vs 8 upon your journey; “the Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth, and even for evermore”; so shall it be in our lives in Jesus name – Amen.
Have a Merry Christmas!
