man-in-the-mirror

Recently I had the opportunity of speaking in a Christian Community on a subject regarding God having us as his signet-ring; I’m so overwhelmed with the subject and as such decided to unleash some thoughts here. In relation to the subject matter, the question of self-identity and self-realization comes to play. It engulfs me to think of people having esteem problem, fine there are of different variation just as we come from different background. Nonetheless as one advances in life there are some things that should shred off in our character and behavior and if asked, issues regarding low self-esteem should be part of it.

I think to myself and ask what can I ever do with low self-esteem or inferiority complex, this is a case of killing yourself even before been attacked; what could be more drastic than not thinking too much of yourself. Truth of the matter is everything starts from there, if you’ll win or loose you have to decide in your thoughts first before you can act or leave it. If you see a mediocre in yourself, every work of your hand will follow thus. This is not a curse of any kind; the word of God says “as a man thinketh…..” how can you shut the man on the inside and feel you’ll be on top of your game? If you are sick – as in health wise it never starts from the outside, how sick you are on the inside would soon show on the outside, so it is when you think low of yourself. Let me ask at this point; what is wrong if you have superiority complex; what is wrong?

This is the self belief that makes you go out and come back with a win, this is what champions think of themselves and of course eventually become; even if you fail over and over again rate yourself as 100% and go do your homework to ensure the 100% standard and quality is delivered. Even when measured with other standards, best believe there is none like you, you are only yet to happen. Know ye that the composition of your being is entirely different from that of your brother or sister, that difference no matter how insignificant is what makes you unique and special; that is why they’ve not really met you yet not until you are fully discovered. If anything has to change for you, it has to change from within you, it is crucial to know in life that things we don’t see with our physical eyes are the things that matter the most to us. We obviously can’t see what we are made up of on the inside, in no time we begin to see via our thought pattern.

What do you think of yourself? When you look at the mirror do you see a giant, do you see someone ready to take charge and win, do you see someone unstoppable, do you see a star you truly represent. A simple illustration in trying to move an inch from your present position without first thinking of where to go and then making the necessary action to move; would helplessly leave you in the same spot. Your thought pattern must have the corresponding will and ability to match you actions; else great thoughts are reduced to daydreams. Your importance and what you represent in the earth cannot be overemphasized. We have been carefully created with great importance; it is suicidal not to think so of yourself. A signet-ring is so precious that great men in ancient times engrave their signature on it. Imagine God having you as his signet-ring, it simply emphasizes that fact that you are the image of God and again represented as his signature on earth, imagine for one second the endless possibilities of that signature on any note.

I’ll leave you with my favorite winning slogan: Believe and Win, coined from a marketing concept; more authoritative when personalize by adding your name in front – (Your Name) Believe and Win! It is a great feeling to know things can really work when you think right and process them over and over again without recourse to previous setbacks. Thinking right of you is imperative in attaining greater heights.

Shalom!
