Hello My world
Just like the first post in a blog, I say hello my world, sounds kind of funny to me because I have been around long enough. This piece I consider a come back and it brings me great delight as my world has received light again and surprisingly a gloomy side too, it’s like feeling something good about a thing and still can’t really shout about it. I am happy for the fact that this blog is up again after many troubles, my joy is derived from new lessons learnt, which has made me better and experienced. The gloomy part is getting to see the last time I updated this blog. Three (3) months has pasted of my inconsistency, it is a big deal for me, its like saying no more, and as well known the life of the blog is tied to the life of the owner, thinking deep makes me wanna beat myself, but I really wish I knew better.
Considering this come back as a better beginning, plans and intentions are changing to accommodate the present mood, which for me is high. The blog theme is coming alive as efforts are in place to include informative widgets and other useful links to in the home page. I know I would have lost a number of my readers, I really wish I knew how to control what befell this blog before now, about now I have gained better experiences and would like to share some highlights I fed upon to ensure this come back, most especially I like you to take it as life lessons.
Perseverance: You just have to keep on moving, holding to the things you believe. It is believing in a cause of action without regards to setback. If it is looking like it’s over – give it one more try. If there is an ounce of faith in the course you are undertaking, you’ll be willing to go on. This is life issue; it cuts across our daily activities, you just have to encourage yourself to make one more move, which in most cases becomes the move that makes other moves meaningful. In an attempt to cut down a tree, the last stroke is not as relevant as the first. Chances are that you were not strong enough, but every setback make you better prepared for the next opportunity, it sets you in a better track giving you a better view to lunch again. If in your core you believe it would get through eventually, then you don’t need much motivation. More often than not perseverance delivers in the end. Feeding on mine brought about my come back.
Do you assignment: Don’t put much in the hands of people you delegate to, this I have learnt; however may be further checked by other characteristic embedded in the person like degree of reliability, Competence, deliverables etc. the higher these variables weight the more responsibility you may entrust in the person. Make personal efforts ensure you can do or have an idea of whatever you wish to delegate. My lesson was with the web master, whom I earlier had issues with, this time I had to cut it with him. To divert a bit – you know people can’t really be trusted, even after presenting yourself as honest you still have to prove it by the things you do. Most of our intentions may not be incriminating or fraudulent, but imagine having your priorities hindering upon the pledges made to someone else, this tend to present us as untrustworthy and deceitful. This plays out in life; our commitments to God, others and even ourselves. Really we have to be straight with ourselves, to get with this put a cost on your pledges to make it tangible just so that you can pay attention.
3. Integrity: This is in two ways from others and from yourself; in a lay man’s word I may define it as “do as you say”, but as simple as it is people like to impress with more words than what can be done. In the loop of things you become expectant and when expectations are not met, disappointment, dissatisfaction and frustration sets in. well my lessons learnt is not to be dismayed, set your heart on a default until proven otherwise believing that most things are generally hyped, rather than calling it a bad name and feeling cheated considered it a marketing strategy and the solution is to have your own opinion and rating regarding whatever you are patronizing. Do a little groundwork, know a bit and place certain variables on it, fulfill your part of the deal and don’t get trapped wasting time coming out straight with veracity, cut through whatever you don’t believe and get to the hub of issue.
There are other points to be considered, however not in this one piece, highlighted are the majors. I also intend not to make a piece longer than necessary. This is a welcome back message. I leave you with the words of Gillian Anderson “Just remember, you can do anything you set your mind to, but it takes action, perseverance, and facing your fears”.
