Regarding Life: (Series 1) ‘Life as now and here on’
Life; what can one really say about it that would be really be sufficient, everyday we see new things, we hear new things; so long you can breath, its unending, acquiring experiences has no limit. Its is clear to understand that life is a school; one you never enrolled for, pay a lot of price and sacrifices just to get a move on, a school you write examinations without time table and one you may never graduate from not minding death. Life is a school and everyday well learn precepts which enables the choices we make and in making them we are immensely influenced by many factors, like those of our wants and needs which of course are very essential and if selfish or envious could make our choices hunt us in no distant time.
Be as complex as it may seem – what is your concept about life? How do you approach it to get results? How do you place yourself to make things work for you? Your perceptive towards life is what would make it simple for you. Our perspectives though influence by our environment also vary in every rights particularly because of our different goals. In sharing a general viewpoint therefore, Life is seen as NOW and HERE ON. It is about NOW (this moment) and the next which could be the next second, minute, hour, tomorrow or the future. It is never about the past for yesterday is gone and irrecoverable, the only need for it is to draw experiences and lessons learnt to know how to handle situations presently faced with.
The above concept is not disregarding the past as they made us sensible, knowledgeable and wiser as we proceed, the lessons from the past are vital for the now. The concept as described is about what is happening in your life NOW. If yesterday was not favorable; fine that was for yesterday which is obviously gone and irrecoverable, what are you doing now to make the next moment favorable, what are the steps initiated to forecast an expected change, what progress are you recording now to make the next meaningful. Tomorrow’s date can not for any reason be the same as yesterday so also the situations that would come your way, everything is changing, the question is are you developing to accommodate those changes?
The focus on life is NOW; if you want to do anything do it now. If you have a picture of how tomorrow would look like start painting it now so it would be a reality tomorrow that is the only time you will appreciate yesterday in true sense. I look at my life in time past when it seemed ugly and I thought of the thing that have given me the enablement to grow today, I found out that when yesterday was now then, I thought of now as now. I knew change was not far, I expected it without a time frame though but God brought it when the time was right. I have not mentioned much on the God factor in this article just to point that it is indispensable because he know tomorrow, the best is to align with Him in painting the future. Forward ever is the idea discoursed here, paint the tomorrow you want to see now for life is looking ahead. In failed relationships move on, lost of jobs look for alternative sources of income, in any worst situation one could ever be there is a solution in forward looking. Nagging, wishing or thinking about when it was rosey would bring more sentiment and probably stir bad blood. Instead of hanging in life, think of what’s next. It is easier said to move on than to do actually do it, but then if it can be prevented or guided do it with your life if its worth it but from experience there is actually no gain hanging in life, you only consume yourself in the process because the did is done already. Get moving.
Know ye that no one is both dispensable and indispensable, different things happen to different people and if one is no more in this world, life would still go on, so why not maximize life thinking more of Now and the Next than dwelling in the past. It is kind of natural for events in the past to creep into our mind, laugh about those glamorous moments; draw from the lessons learnt and never regret from hurts encountered, remember time heals ever wound but to heal it faster is to wake up, pick yourself up and move on.
